Move a branded domain across without breaking old links, using fallback resolution.

What it does with ShortFreeURL
Export your links from Bitly, import the CSV here, and point the domain's DNS at us. Any slug we do not know yet is looked up against your old domain, redirected and cached, so nothing 404s during the switch.
When traffic to unknown slugs drops to zero — usually well inside a month — you turn fallback off and remove the domain from the old provider.
Setting it up
- Export your links from the old provider and import the CSV here.
- Point the branded domain's A record at us, keeping it connected at the old provider for now.
- Fallback resolution covers any slug that did not come across.
- After about 30 days, switch fallback off and remove the domain from the old provider.
What data moves
- In: your exported link list, then unknown-slug lookups during the transition.
- Out: nothing to Bitly beyond those lookups.
- Auth: your dashboard session; an admin turns fallback on and off.

Questions
Will old links break during the move?
That is exactly what fallback resolution prevents: an unknown slug is resolved against the old domain and cached.
