What it does with ShortFreeURL
The dedicated IFTTT Webhooks card sends selected link and domain events to the Maker Webhooks URL and records every response. Its web request action can call our API to create a link.
IFTTT is the thinnest of the automation options — it suits one-step consumer flows rather than anything with branching.
Setting it up
- Get your IFTTT Webhooks trigger URL and paste it into Integrations → IFTTT Webhooks.
- Choose which events should fire the applet.
- For the other direction, use IFTTT's web request action against POST /api/links with an API key.
What data moves
- Out: link and domain events to an IFTTT webhook trigger URL.
- In: link creation from an IFTTT web request action.
- Auth: an API key inbound; an HMAC signature outbound.
