Mixpanel
Send link events to a Mixpanel project with the project token, server-side.

What it does with ShortFreeURL
Paste a project token and the events you tick are sent to Mixpanel's ingestion API with the link, its destination and who did it as properties. No SDK, no browser tag, nothing to install.
Both data residencies are offered because they are different hosts, not a setting: an EU project rejects events posted to the US endpoint outright, so the choice is asked for at connect time rather than discovered later.
The test asks Mixpanel with verbose=1 on, which is the difference between "1" and a sentence explaining what was wrong. A wrong token answers HTTP 200 with a refusal inside it, and that is reported as the failure it is.
Setting it up
- In Mixpanel, open Settings → Project settings and copy the Project Token.
- Open Integrations → Mixpanel in the dashboard, paste it and choose the project's data residency.
- Press Send test — the answer Mixpanel gave is shown in full, and the event appears in the project within a minute.
- Tick which events should be sent under Events.
What data moves
- Out: an event per subscribed action — Link Created, Link Updated, Domain Added — with the short URL, the destination and the actor.
- In: nothing.
- Auth: the project token, encrypted at rest.

Questions
Does this send every click?
No. It sends the events on the audit trail — a link created, edited, deleted, a domain added. Per-click forwarding is what the GA4, Meta and Segment connectors do.
Why does it ask for the region?
Because an EU project and a US project are different hosts. Choosing the wrong one is rejected rather than silently dropped.
Was this tested against Mixpanel itself?
Against a local server implementing the same ingestion contract, including its habit of answering 200 to a rejected event. No call has been made to Mixpanel from this build.
