Setting it up

  1. Create an incoming webhook or application token in Mattermost.
  2. Open Integrations & API, select Mattermost and paste the required setup fields.
  3. Choose Events to select notifications. Send test alert posts a real message to the configured destination.
  4. Inspect Deliveries and confirm the message appears in the provider. Disconnect to stop deliveries.

Does sending a test notify my channel?

Yes. The Send test alert button posts an actual test message. A success response means the provider accepted the request; confirm receipt in your channel.
